Announcement made during a Venio Partners briefing at Legaltech 2018

NEW YORK, Feb. 1, 2018 — Venio Systems (Venio), a world-wide leader in unified eDiscovery and litigation support software, announced the addition of Continuous Active Learning (CAL) technology to its Technology Assisted Review (TAR) module within its VenioOne unified platform. The announcement was made during a Venio Partners briefing at Legaltech 2018, a four-day legal technology exhibition in New York City.

In the past, TAR required cycles of training, prediction and quality control “to teach” the system. CAL technology leverages user defined profiles that outline the criteria and review-set objectives. The addition of CAL technology expedites document review by identifying the most relevant documents, saving time and reducing costs.

The Venio Development Team has been actively integrating the Continuous Active Learning within the VenioOne platform. This functionality is in the final stages of testing and is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2018.

Arestotle Thapa, CEO/CTO of Venio Systems shared “CAL is very exciting and we look forward to rolling this capability out to our partners in the coming months. CAL on VenioOne provides metrics and transparency to the reviewers so they can be more confident in their results. Leveraging CAL accelerates the review process and provides visibility to the most relevant documents as quickly as possible.”
