The Data Meter
Hosting is billed per GB of processed data, every month. The bill grows with the matter. Minimum fees hit smaller cases hardest.
The AI Meter
Cecilia chat and summaries are bundled. Auto Review, the engine that actually reviews documents, is billed per document.
The Cloud Meter
AWS cloud only. No on-prem, no air-gapped. Legal hold is a separate product. End-of-matter archives are on request.

Why is Venio more cost-effective than DISCO?
DISCO bills per GB of hosted data each month, plus per-document fees for Auto Review and a separate charge for Hold. Venio is one fixed annual price with AI and legal hold included. The cost of a matter does not rise as data grows.
Is AI review included in Venio's base price?
Yes. Continuous Active Learning, AI relevance and privilege identification, and PII detection are standard. DISCO bundles Cecilia chat and summaries but meters Auto Review per document.
What deployment options does Venio offer that DISCO doesn't?
DISCO runs only on AWS cloud. Venio runs in the cloud, on-premises, hybrid or fully air-gapped, with the same codebase and AI models in each.
Can I migrate from DISCO without losing work product?
Yes. Venio ingests DISCO productions and load files natively and preserves tags, coding and redactions. Most migrations complete in 2 to 4 weeks with zero per-GB ingestion fees.
Does Venio include legal hold?
Yes. Custodian notices, reminders, escalations, questionnaires and acknowledgment tracking are built into the platform. DISCO Hold is a separately priced product.
Is Venio compliant with GDPR, HIPAA and government standards?
Venio is SOC 2 Type II certified, GDPR compliant and FedRAMP-ready. On-prem and air-gapped deployments meet requirements that cloud-only platforms cannot.
